Product overview

Stobox Digital Assets Exchange is a tool promoting mass adoption and investments into crypto assets. It’s focused on features that make it attractive for a mass audience of non-sophisticated crypto users.

What is Stobox Digital Assets Exchange and who is it destined for?

Stobox Exchange is a centralized crypto exchange which is registered on BVI and is fully compliant with the international KYC/AML regulations. Our focus here is to introduce the crypto world to those people who have never stepped onto this path, because they heard a lot of things about crypto which were not all positive and do not trust it now as an investment option. We want to unlock the potential that crypto has, teach our newcomers how to invest wisely via trading, and promote crypto in general by providing a lot of useful information on the crypto developments across the world and how it is already implemented in our everyday life.

Therefore, in order to make this introduction as smooth as possible, we chose extreme selectivity towards projects to be listed on the Stobox Exchange, as well as simplicity and intuitiveness for both individual and corporate users in terms of design and user experience.

Do you have a proper license to run a crypto exchange?

The BVI, where the Stobox Exchange is registered, does not require a license to set up a crypto exchange. According to the Financing and Money Services Act, 2009 (FMSA), we are not obliged to have one. You can see more details here or here.

Isn't DS Swap in Dashboard an exchange already?

No, it isn’t. They are two different products with different functionalities. DS Swap is an automated DeFi market-making protocol designed to allow second trading of security tokens, while the Exchange is centralized and works with crypto currencies only.

So if you wish to trade cryptocurrencies, digital assets, you choose the Stobox Exchange, and for security tokens, i.e. tokenized companies’ shares, you should choose DS Swap in the DS Dashboard.

What functionality does Stobox Exchange have?

Stobox Exchange is a classic centralized exchange (CEX). Unlike decentralized exchanges (DEX), it requires users to deposit funds to start trading. Please note that Stobox uses Key Management System by Tatum. Please visit www.tatum.io for details.

What makes Stobox Exchange stand out from a range of similar crypto exchanges is our focus on people who are new to crypto and do not understand its peculiarities, therefore stay away from it and miss the benefits they could have. In order to provide people with a smooth entrance point to the crypto world, we strictly select the projects that are listed on Stobox Exchange. All of them are real, solid, and either going to be or already are industry changers. This way, our users have a chance to enter crypto without any shock from the high volatility of this environment. You might not follow the news and you might not check your portfolio daily, but the projects you chose on Stobox Exchange from the limited number are here to stay and show steady growth over a long-term period.

Moreover, Stobox has our very special STO clients that are real businesses, from real estate to green energy companies. Many of them wish to issue their own utility tokens in addition to their tokenized securities. Stobox Exchange is going to be the first place where these utility tokens will be listed so our users have a high chance to become early on these exclusive tokens too.

Note

Please note that Stobox strictly complies with the GDPR and clause 17-16-1601 (c) of Article 16 of the Wyoming Business Corporation Act.

What are your main security features?

Account access
Stobox has our own one-step authentication which is used both in Dashboard and Exchange, so in order to enter the account you will need to get an access code sent to your registered email address each time you log in.

Two-factor authentication
2FA means two-factor authentication and is a second-step of authentication.
If you enable the 2FA you will also need to enter the 2FA code from your Google Authenticator along with the Stobox code. In this case even if someone gains access to your email address and receives your access code from Stobox or changes your password, they will not be able to enter your account without a 2FA code which is sent to your phone only.
Hint: when you enable the 2FA in your account, please make sure to write down the recovery code in a safe place.
If you reset your mobile phone or get a new phone and need to move the information to a new device you will need to recover your 2FA and this code will help you to do so.

HTTPS
Please note that Stobox has its websites secured by an SSL certificate. If you see the lock in the address line, you can ensure that you are on the official, secure website.

🚧

SSL

SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer. It is the standard technology for keeping an internet connection secure and safeguarding any sensitive data that is being sent between two systems, e.g. web server and web browser, preventing criminals from reading and modifying any information transferred, including potential personal details.

❗️

Important

When you enable the 2FA in your account, please make sure to write down the recovery code in a safe place. In case of resetting your mobile phone or if you get a new phone and need to move the information to a new device you will need to recover your 2FA and this code will help you to do so.

❗️

Private information

Stobox Team will never ask you for your passwords, seed words, login information or your Google authentication code. If someone asks you for this information in private, consider this person a fraud and do not provide any information.
