What is tokenization?

The tokenization of assets refers to the process of issuing a blockchain token (precisely, a security token) that digitally represents a real tradable asset. In many ways, it’s similar to the traditional process of securitization – only with a modern twist.

What is securities' tokenization?

To be more precise, securities' tokenization consists of two stages:

  1. Securitization – a company clubs its financial assets to form a consolidated financial instrument issued to investors. In return, the investors in such securities get interest.

  2. Tokenization of the securities – issuing security tokens and transparent operating of the securities in the blockchain environment.

How to issue security tokens?

The security token is a classic smart contract written by Stobox for its Business clients and assumes security token issuing. This smart contract has all the details, fields and nuance common for ordinary paper shares and is designated by the Issuer (Business).

First, the share is created in a more traditional way by adding all the necessary information to the register within all approved legal procedures; then, this information is transformed into the technological view, i.e. put into the smart contract. This is why we can confidently say that security tokens are a legal representation of the companies' shares.

How does tokenization help to raise capital?

Businesses around the world use the Internet and blockchain technologies to sell security tokens out of their own pools according to their local legislation and jurisdiction permissions.
Thanks to technologies, Investors from anywhere in the world will be able to buy your companys' securities, thus expanding your company's geography and attracting much more capital for your Business development.
